We’re looking for an exceptional Design & Experience Lead to join an award winning digital product studio in London This is a fantastic opportunity to work on world-class digital products and emerging technologies for globally recognised clients. This exciting role would suit someone with the flair of a Graphic designer and a user-focussed mindset, along with a solid grasp of skills across research, strategy, UX design, visual design, and service design.

The role:

  • Reporting into the Design & Experience Director and Managing Partner
  • Working closely with strategists, designers, developers and product/project managers to bring highly effective digital products and experiences to life across a range of digital touch points (websites, mobile apps, services, and voice skills)
  • Creating high quality artefacts (user flows, screens, prototypes etc)
  • Running both internal and client-facing workshops (e.g. customer co-design workshops, and design critiques)
  • Contributing to client pitches when required
  • Managing your own time as well as supporting the costing and planning activity of design deliverables - reporting on the status of deliverables and quickly notifying the project management team of risks
  • Coaching and inspiring other members of the team; developing their skills, promoting best practices and a collaborative culture
  • Working with strategists to ensure that products are research driven, validated with user testing and delivering against business goals
  • Contributing to company culture - blog posts, social media, white papers, as well as attending or speaking at industry conferences

You, the Design & Experience Lead:

  • 8 + years experience working in design and development of digital products
  • Flair of a Graphic Designer and the user focus of a Product Designer
  • Strong generalist knowledge across all aspects of the digital product development lifecycle
  • Experience creating design systems and component libraries from scratch
  • Confident with design tools (Adobe CC, Sketch/Figma, Zeplin etc.)
  • You have experience with COVID friendly collaborative tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Miro etc.)
  • Confident leading and navigating senior client relationships and complex large-scale projects
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate concepts and ideas into practical and tactical outcomes
  • Experience with native experiences for both iOS and Android, and understand how experiences differ between the two
  • Good understanding of web-based applications across different devices
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams, ensuring delivery with quality and speed
  • Team player, able to collaborate with developers to understand technical constraints and create appropriate deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express rationale of your design to the team
  • Ability to construct convincing and compelling narratives that sell ideas to clients, stakeholders and team members
