This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Analytics function and be part of a passionate, talented team that is growing. This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic and experienced Analytics lead who has previously worked at a tech scale-up or has equivalent experience. The team works in an agile fashion with small cross functional squads. You’ll bring new ideas, and become an integral part of the process of continuously improving their product. The app allows designers and artists to share their creative vision, build a brand and an income generating business, all while enabling them to do what they love.

The role:

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Data Science
  • Leading teams to deliver analytic roadmaps and implementing best practices in standards and processes.
  • Working closely with the Head of Data Science and Engineering function, who are forward thinking individuals
  • Mentoring and leading a team of Analysts
  • Identifying of weaknesses in the current architecture and design improvements
  • Working with the Head of Data Science to maintain and improve the architecture of in-house platforms
  • Identifying and resolving data and reporting issues
  • Improving the efficiency and reliability of data systems and processes
  • Communicating with leadership team across the business to understand data needs
  • Defining and managing SLA for all data sets in allocated areas of ownership

You, the Head of Analytics:

  • You will have a strong background in leadership
  • Experience applying advanced analytics to form business strategy
  • Technical experience in delivering statistical analytics and insights
  • Experience managing data teams
  • Bachelors or Masters in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record
  • Outstanding analytical ability, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience of using data insights to drive business and operational goals
  • Mastery of Excel and SQL and a strong understanding of data relationships
  • Experience working in Python or R for data analysis
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools (e.g. Git, unit testing, Docker and cloud platforms)
  • Understanding of marketing / lifecycle attribution frameworks, retention, and LTV
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup
