Our client is looking for an expert practitioner who has worked on large-scale and complex projects. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of designers to focus on logistics planning and management within a company revolutionising the car buying experience. The role involves interface with stakeholders across the Logistics and Operations side of the business. Prior experience bringing digital design to manual processes and working in an agile squad is essential. You should also be comfortable with some travel to some of the Customer Care Centres to understand manual and physical processes that power their services.

The role:

  • Executing user research and creating a clear research base to inform decisions
  • Prototyping and testing with employees and other people who interact with the products and services
  • Documenting systems interactions, integrations and dependencies in service blueprints, system maps etc. in order to inform product decisions
  • Ensuring the team solves the right problems by working closely with product managers and stakeholders
  • Facilitating workshops and interviews with key internal/external stakeholders, to make informed product decisions
  • Focusing on team alignment and strategy - helping the team succeed across multiple interdependent needs
  • Supporting and mentoring other members of the team

You, the Senior UX designer:

  • Skilled with UX design, interaction design and user research, you regularly facilitate workshops and align teams on outcomes
  • Specialised in user-centred design practices within agile teams
  • Passionate about inclusive, accessible and ethical design
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of design in a software team, including how you handle developer constraints, regulatory constraints, and stakeholder feedback
  • Comfortable delivering design across any stage of the product lifecycle, from idea sketching and low to high fidelity prototypes
  • Nurture agreement in teams by having a developed toolkit of product discovery techniques and workshops to help facilitate design discussions and get people aligned on solving the problem
  • Experience in shipping world-class digital products in cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate a human-focused design approach
  • Well-trained eye for great visual design, but your focus is on delivering great experiences and solving problems
  • Strategic thinker - expert in translating user behaviour into great user experience
  • Love to collaborate - working with research, design, product and engineering
  • Proactive and organised - you can multi-task across multiple streams of work
  • Actively support more junior members of the team with practical advice and guidance
  • Passionate about evangelising design within the business and externally (e.g. events, conferences, articles)
