The Client:

Our client is a digital media company specialising in online gaming, they are looking for a Senior UX Researcher. From first search through to choosing a site that’s right for the user, they help people make smart choices online by crafting industry-leading experiences and comparison products.

The team is based in London & Warsaw serving a rapidly growing network of over 100 websites across more than 50 countries. This a fantastic opportunity to shape the organisation’s thinking about users and be a strategic pillar to the product and design functions by sharing knowledge, process and user psychology.

The Role:

  • Lead the strategic research vision for your team
  • Employing projects strategically in partnership with your squads and other teams
  • Driving research processes and focussing on what the organisation needs, leading to meaningful user-centred actions
  • Championing UX research at every level of the company and
  • Framing problems and providing optimal research methodologies  
  • Managing research projects with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Scoping, planning, and leading extensive research activities – from open-ended exploratory research to concept validations
  • Design and running usability studies/focus groups, conducting interviews, brainstorming and functionality workshops, with internal teams as well as our users
  • Developing and facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions internally and externally as well planning roadmaps
  • Aligning usability test plans with business objectives – developing hypothesis and success metrics needed to measure the effectiveness
  • Being the strategic partner to the product and design functions as well as directing the organisational research focus as per OKRs for each squad
  • Liaising with third-party research tool providers to determine the best tools available
  • Mentoring and guiding the research team towards the organisational goals as well as the enthusiasm to attend and set up company meet ups and knowledge sharing sessions

You, the UX Researcher:

  • Expert in UX research and user psychology for global digital products
  • Centralise customer feedback and increasing alignment across the business
  • Strategically plan and facilitate UX research including, remote and moderated user research, surveys, ethnography, card-sorting etc
  • Ability to create, prioritise and communicate innovative solutions, using wireframes and lo-fi prototypes to showcase and test your ideas
  • Specialist skills with research analysis and synthesis including interview and competitive analysis
  • Collect and/or facilitate the collection of market research for new site builds
  • Proven analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to analyse key focus areas of qualitative research
  • Experience of reporting finding effectively and providing meaningful, easily understood insights
  • Expert communicator, both written and verbal
  • Able to interact professionally with all levels of internal staff and external partners
  • A willingness to mentor/coaching other researchers and spread knowledge
