Their job can span from planning requirements with internal customers, and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. Managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to stakeholders. Projects can often span offices and time zones, so keeping all the cogs coordinated is key.

Career progression can lean towards Head-of-product positions as well as focussing on a speciality to become a domain expert.
