Our client is looking for an exceptional User Researcher to join their fast-growing team and help to transform the way people buy used cars online. This role is focussed on helping to solve the right problems and delivering new or improved products. Researchers at this company are focused on making research something everyone can participate in, understand and share to get better business results.

The role:

  • Maturing the research practices across product teams through training, automation of research tools and workflows for self service and scale
  • Advocating customer-centred development – working with customers to identify their most important problems and developing solutions with them
  • Enabling people across the business to learn how and when to do research
  • Collaborating with various teams (including design, engineering, testing, etc.) to help inform strategic decisions
  • Increasing shared understanding of customer behaviours (A/B testing, benchmark studies, lab studies, surveys etc)
  • Cultivating a culture of engaging with research to drive business and user goals
  • Using a variety of user-research and documentation tools including Dovetail, Notion, GSuite, UserTesting, Looker, Segment and more
  • Working with stakeholders and teams to act on research findings.
  • Delivering qualitative and quantitative research insights across the business
  • Helping to achieve better product outcomes for the business and customers

You, the Senior User Researcher:

  • Hands-on experience with planning, facilitating and managing research using various methodologies
  • Building and maintaining a rich research repository
  • Driving efficiencies in research through tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities
  • Supporting and training others to perform research activities across the business
  • Experience of reporting findings effectively and providing meaningful, easily understood insights with attention to detail and storytelling
  • Prior work with cross-functional software teams
  • Ability to self-improve, collect feedback, and grow as a team member
  • Great organisational skills, and usually on top of multiple competing queries, strong sense of prioritisation
